Akamas Peninsula, Cyprus

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

The Akamas Peninsula is a rugged, protected wilderness in the far northwest of Cyprus, stretching into the Mediterranean between Chrysochou Bay and the sea off Polis. It is one of the island's last unspoiled natural areas, home to rare flora, nesting loggerhead and green sea turtles, and diverse wildlife protected within a national park. The peninsula is best known for the dramatic Avakas Gorge, the Baths of Aphrodite, and a network of hiking and cycling trails that wind through pine forests, scrubland, and clifftop coastline. Travellers come here for outdoor adventures, snorkelling and diving in crystal-clear waters, and to escape the more developed resort areas of Cyprus.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Akamas Peninsula, Cyprus yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Learn the first 20 seconds of a local dance, then perform it, uninvited, at every bar you visit."
