A self-launched, independent version of Travel Zone's 7-day Athens–Syros–Mykonos tour. You follow the exact same route — three nights in Athens (split around the islands), two nights in Syros, two nights in Mykonos — but book your own ferries, hostels and guesthouses instead of a group package. The itinerary is deliberately light: the original is "low intensity" with mostly free time for wandering Ermoupoli, swimming at Syros beaches and getting lost in Mykonos Town. Book ferries on Ferryhopper/Blue Star Ferries, use Athens' metro and airport express bus, and pick up a couple of GetYourGuide walking tours (Acropolis skip-the-line, Mykonos Town sunset walk) for the guided bits. Costs are approximate backpacker/budget rates in GBP; Greek island summer prices spike in July–August, so shoulder season (May–June, September–October) is much cheaper.
