Bardia National Park, Nepal

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

Bardia National Park is Nepal's largest protected wilderness area in the Terai lowlands of the far west, covering over 968 square kilometres of dense sal forest, grasslands, and river floodplains along the Karnali River. It is one of the best places in Asia to spot wild Bengal tigers, as well as one-horned rhinoceroses, Asian elephants, Gangetic dolphins, and gharial crocodiles in a far less crowded setting than the more famous Chitwan National Park. Travellers come for multi-day jungle safaris — on foot, by jeep, or on elephant back — as well as rafting on the Karnali. Its remote location makes it a magnet for wildlife enthusiasts seeking an off-the-beaten-path wilderness experience in South Asia.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Bardia National Park, Nepal yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Find the most locally-hated tourist trap and go anyway, unironically, in a costume."
