Self-Launched Mountain Biking in the High Atlas

A DIY version of Trek in Morocco's 8-day High Atlas mountain biking circuit, riding the singletrack and village tracks around Imlil, Tacheddirt, Amssakrou, Amizmiz, Ait Ahmad and Ijoukak — built independently using local gîtes, a hired full-suspension bike, grands taxis and shared vans. Expect 5 hard riding days with big pass climbs, technical descents and Berber hospitality, then a night in Marrakesh. High fitness and genuine MTB experience essential; a local guide is strongly recommended for the remote sections and can be hired direct for far less than a package price. Note: this is a self-launched itinerary, not a guided group tour.
