The High Atlas is the highest mountain range in North Africa, stretching over 2,500 kilometres across central Morocco and home to Jebel Toubkal, the continent's tallest peak at 4,167 metres. The range is a magnet for trekkers and climbers, with routes ranging from day hikes through Berber villages to multi-day ascents of Toubkal, particularly popular in spring and autumn.
