Komodo National Park & Flores

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in eastern Indonesia, spanning several islands including Komodo, Rinca, and Padar, and is the only place on Earth where Komodo dragons — the world's largest lizards — live in the wild. The surrounding waters are considered among the best dive sites on the planet, with strong currents, manta ray aggregations, rich coral reefs, and diverse marine life drawing divers from around the world. Flores, the nearest major island, serves as the main gateway — with Labuan Bajo as the primary port town — and offers its own draws including dramatic volcanic landscapes, traditional villages, and the coloured crater lakes of Kelimutu. Independent and group travellers come here for liveaboard sailing trips, island trekking, snorkelling, and the chance to explore one of Indonesia's most remote and spectacular corners.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Komodo National Park & Flores yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Find the most locally-hated tourist trap and go anyway, unironically, in a costume."
