Manaslu Circuit, Nepal

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

The Manaslu Circuit is a remote trekking route in the Gorkha District of Nepal, circumnavigating Mount Manaslu — the world's eighth-highest peak at 8,163 metres. The trail takes roughly 14–18 days to complete, crossing the dramatic Larkya La Pass at 5,106 metres and passing through ancient Tibetan-influenced villages, dense rhododendron forests, and high alpine terrain. Restricted to permit holders to preserve its natural and cultural integrity, it remains far less crowded than the Annapurna Circuit or Everest Base Camp routes. Trekkers are drawn here for its raw, off-the-beaten-path character, stunning Himalayan scenery, and the opportunity to experience traditional Gurung and Tibetan Buddhist culture largely untouched by mass tourism.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Manaslu Circuit, Nepal yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Learn a completely impractical skill from a local — fire spinning, competitive coconut opening, whatever — and become weirdly good at it."
