Mekong Delta, Vietnam

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

The Mekong Delta is a vast network of rivers, canals, and floodplains in southern Vietnam, where the Mekong River fans out into nine tributaries before emptying into the South China Sea. Known as the "rice bowl" of Vietnam, the region produces a significant share of the country's rice, tropical fruit, and seafood, and its waterways define almost every aspect of daily life here. Travellers come to explore floating markets — most famously Cai Rang and Cai Be — navigate narrow canals by sampan, visit stilted villages, and experience a slower, more rural side of Vietnam far removed from the cities. It's a favourite for cycling, homestays, and river journeys connecting the delta to Cambodia.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Mekong Delta, Vietnam yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Learn the first 20 seconds of a local dance, then perform it, uninvited, at every bar you visit."
