A 32-day solo-friendly route linking two of South America's biggest moments: the wild granite-and-ice south of Patagonia and Rio's Carnival. Instead of a group overland truck with a cook, you'll piece the same spine together on Chile's and Argentina's public buses, shared minivans and short ferries — Santiago → Pucón → San Martín de los Andes → Puerto Varas → the Carretera Austral → Coyhaique → El Chaltén → El Calafate → Torres del Paine → Punta Arenas → Ushuaia, then a low-cost flight north to Rio for Carnival.
