A DIY, self-launched version of the classic Nairobi-to-Stone Town safari-and-beach run: cross into Tanzania by public shuttle, join a budget camping safari into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater (widely available direct from Arusha operators or via GetYourGuide), then fly Arusha to Zanzibar and wind down on Nungwi's beaches.
