A self-launched, solo-friendly version of Tour Altinkum's 13-day Turkey & Egypt group tour, rebuilt from scratch using hostels and budget guesthouses, domestic buses and low-cost flights, and self-bookable entry tickets and small-group day tours (GetYourGuide/Klook or on-the-ground local agencies). You cover the same ground — Istanbul's old city and Bosphorus, Pamukkale and Hierapolis, Ephesus, three days in Cappadocia's valleys, then Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and a 4-day Nile sail through Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor — but on your own timetable and roughly a third of the tour cost. Note the tour's original route uses two domestic flights in Turkey (Istanbul–Izmir and Kayseri–Istanbul), a Cairo–Aswan flight, and a Luxor–Cairo flight; the DIY plan swaps some for overnight buses/trains where it saves money and keeps time-efficient flights where it doesn't. All costs are rough per-person estimates for a mid-range backpacker, sharing a dorm or twin where possible.
