This self-launched itinerary covers all the iconic highlights of Giza and Cairo — the Pyramids, the Sphinx, Saqqara, Memphis, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Salah El Din Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, and Coptic Cairo — without the private-tour price tag. Instead of a fully chauffeured private package, you'll use local taxis (Uber and Careem work well in Cairo), pre-book guided site tours via GetYourGuide or Klook, and stay in a budget-friendly guesthouse near the Pyramids. All costs are approximate estimates in GBP per person.
