The signature day. Join a small-group open-vehicle safari drive (GetYourGuide/Viator operators run these, or book direct with a Hazyview operator) or, if self-driving, hire a 4x4 and self-navigate the southern circuit from Numbi/Phabeni gates. Expect elephant, giraffe, zebra, hippo, buffalo and likely lion.

Cross into Zimbabwe (quickest via the Katima/Kazungula is out of the way — go north via Otjiwarongo–Rundu or fly Windhoek–Victoria Falls).
