This self-launched 11-day adventure from Lisbon to Barcelona mirrors Intrepid's popular Basix itinerary — same cities, same trails, same tapas bars — but without the group tour price tag. You'll travel by public buses and trains, stay in well-rated independent hostels, and book activities directly or via GetYourGuide. Expect Algarve coastline, Sierra Nevada hikes, Seville tapas, Madrid street art, and Barcelona's Gaudí architecture. All cost estimates are approximate and based on 2024–25 budget traveller rates in GBP per person.
