Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera

1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

Cinque Terre is a rugged stretch of the Italian Riviera coastline in Liguria, northwestern Italy, made up of five centuries-old fishing villages — Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore — perched dramatically on cliffsides above the Ligurian Sea. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its colourful stacked houses, terraced vineyards, and winding coastal trails such as the famous Sentiero Azzurro (Blue Trail). Travellers come for hiking between the villages, swimming in rocky coves, sampling local pesto and Sciacchetrà wine, and soaking up some of the most photogenic scenery in the Mediterranean. Its compact layout and car-free villages make it a favourite for both independent explorers and small group travel.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Learn a completely impractical skill from a local — fire spinning, competitive coconut opening, whatever — and become weirdly good at it."
