The Tuk Tuk Club

A self-launched take on The Tuk Tuk Club's 11-day Northern Thailand adventure. Instead of a guided tuk-tuk convoy, you ride the same mountain loop (the classic Mae Hong Son Route 1095/108 circuit) solo — on a rented scooter or Honda Click where you're licensed and insured, or by local songthaew and public minibus where you're not. You get the same highlights: a hilltop temple blessing, the Mae Wang elephant sanctuary and bamboo rafting, Doi Inthanon's summit and cloud forest, hill-tribe village bungalows, the Mae Sariang river town, Mae Hong Son's lake and Wat Doi Kong Mu, the Lod Caves, and Pai's slow afternoons. Costs assume a backpacker-level mix of guesthouses and simple hotels with comfort roughly matching the operator's 3-star stays, self-booked via Booking/Agoda and activities arranged direct or through GetYourGuide/Klook. Transport and road days are the main planning variable — allow flexibility for monsoon-season rain or smoke season (Feb–Apr) haze.
